Since 1976, John Hendry, has
been announcing on radio and broadcasting sports events throughout Texas. He has been the
voice of West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M), Angelo State
University, East Texas State University (now Texas A&M Commerce), and
many high schools, including Desoto High School, Denton Ryan High School (during their state championship season of 2002) and
Llano High School and Burnet High School football in past seasons.Most recently, he has been the play-by-play voice of the Austin College Kangaroos, of the Division III American Southwest Conference, a post he has held since the 2001-2002 season, and the 2004 State Champion Ennis Lions, aired on 106.9 FM The Ranch (KRVF-FM, Kerens) Hendry is also the High School football producer for TSN, The Texas State Networks, and coordinates the statewide playoff broadcasts along with weekly shows from August through December.
