Howard Payne used a stifling 2-3 zone to shut down the 'Roos offense taking a 66-40 victory from Austin College.

The 'Roos (3-2, 2-2) were icy cold from the floor connecting on only 25% of their shots, and only 6% from the 3-point line. Freshman Annie Laski provided what offensive punch the Austin College notching 10 points on the night, the only Kangaroo in double figures. Senior guard Velencia Johnson was the 'Roos leading rebounder, collecting eight boards.

Howard Payne remained perfect with the win, forcing 29 Austin College turnovers.

Heather Hohertz and Meia Daniels led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 12 points each.

Both Austin College teams are off next week and return to the court when they travel to Georgetown, Texas to face Southwestern University in a non-conference match-up December 12.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the American Southwest Conference.
